CCT'16 (Tortosa, Baix Ebre)

sketchfab

Archaeological intervention carried out on a plot located just between the main facade of the Cathedral of Santa Maria de Tortosa and the Ebre River, bordered by Croera Street, Costa dels Capellans, Felip Pedrell Avenue, and the Lourdes Hospital building. The work has allowed documenting a sequence of occupation of the city of Tortosa (Lower Ebro), from Roman times to the present day, highlighting the presence of public and private buildings, such as a large high-imperial plaza, the Roman wall, the medieval wall, a late-antique basilica, or various domestic structures from Roman, Andalusian, and later periods.
