CCR Low Pressure port caps

SAFETY IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. READ THE IMPORTANT WARNINGS AT THE BOTTOM. These are SCUBA Low Pressure hose and regulator port covers in industry standard 9/16-18 thread for the various low pressure attachments on a closed circuit rebreather to be installed ONLY during storage and/or cleaning. I use four sets of them on the JJCCR currently. On _my unit_ ... _which may not be the same as your unit_, they are used as follows during cleaning, disinfection, and storage. - O2 solenoid and feed hose. - O2 MAV and hose. - ADV banjo and hose. - BOV and hose. If you dive normal SCUBA, you probably don't need these. If you dive a CCR, you likely know what they are for, and when to use them already. CCR side caps have a lanyard loop to secure a warning tape, to remind the user during assembly that those ports are not yet connected. Think aviation style "remove before flight" banners. I recommend printing them in a high vis material to ensure they are noticed, removed, and the correct hoses re-connected during unit assembly. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT WARNING: The hose side caps are inherently dangerous. I have added small venting holes as an attempt at increasing the safety factor should the hose be inadvertently pressurized. DO NOT RELY ON THIS. MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO AVOID PRESSURIZING THE HOSE WITH THESE CAPS INSTALLED. USE THESE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Pressurizing a hose with a hose side cap installed, despite their having vent holes, may still turn the cap into a projectile and/or cause it to rupture and disperse shrapnel like a claymore anti-personnel mine. Furthermore, SCUBA diving as a whole, on both open circuit systems and closed circuit rebreathers is also inherently dangerous. It is your responsibility to obtain and pass the training for, and to maintain competence within the required standards to safely conduct dives on the unit and system you are attempting to use, to the depths, and conditions you are using them in. I bring this up because CCR assembly is a critical step in the chain of safety, and failing to notice, remove, and replace these caps with the correct hose connections during pre-dive assembly can easily lead to a fatality. I ACCEPT NO LIABILITY NOR RESPONSIBILITY FOR INJURY TO YOURSELF OR OTHERS, NOR FOR ANY PROPERTY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO INSTALL ANY OF THESE CAPS. UPDATED 23-04-28 to increase the size of the hose cap vent holes. So they actually... ya know... come out of the printer as holes.
