UPDATE: 05-31, it's a little TOO LOOSE for my liking. It works, but.. the loop hoses fall apart constantly, and... that's annoying. I will up the dimensions a bit to hold tighter, and once I get it right, will upload a new STL. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is yet another component I have designed towards the goal of drying the counterlungs and breathing loop post-dive as efficiently and effortlessly as possible, and then protecting them while in storage. This is only one component of a larger system, that is still being pieced together bit by bit. If your CCR is equipped with a Golem Gear Shrimp, you'll have fitted your loop hoses with the Shrimp compatible bayonet connectors. Keeping the shrimp in-line with the loop presents a couple of problems. - The air you're pushing through the loop to dry it will just blast out of the shrimp mouthpiece instead, mostly failing to make it into the second counterlung. - You are also constant flowing gas through the BOV mushroom valves. I didn't want to risk the possibility of their becoming deformed, compromise their seal, and the safety of the breathing loop. So, with this coupler you can put your loop hoses back on your counterlungs after cleaning, without the shrimp, and this will re-couple the hoses back together where the shrimp should be, completing the connection between inhale and exhale counterlungs, allowing you to dry it all together as one system. This is designed to be a loose fit (that I may tighten up a bit). If you flop your counterlungs around while this is installed, it will probably come disconnected. I did not want this to be an o-ring seal, and risk damage the bayonet O-Rings. 3d printed surfaces are generally, when compared to the smooth machined delrin surfaces of the bayonets themselves "a lot like sandpaper" and would make short work of them. So no contact with the bayonet orings was the goal here.
