CCP Dash Button
thingiverse
This is a remix of the "WIFI Kit 32 Case" by snwilson58 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3527010 . The CCPDashButton is a case for an ESP32 with an OLED display that, in my case, acts as a dash button programmed to provision a production grade kubernetes cluster in my lab through the Cisco Container Platform when the key is pressed. Check out the project on GitHub: https://github.com/fdiniro/CCPDashButton. The case comes in two flavors: with a "k8s" sign and plain button. Both buttons are separate objects, so if you have a dual extrusion printer, you can print them in different colors, just like I did. If your printer produces thick initial layers, set the "Initial layer horizontal expansion" setting to -0.2 / -0.4 to prevent the button from welding with the cover due to low tolerances. I printed at 0.2 layer on an Ultimaker 3 in PLA at 210° and everything worked nearly fine. You may also want to experiment with flow if you have "beefy" layers, as a 96% flow worked better for me. May 31st update: After going through iterations to optimize the coupling between the base and cover, which was not perfect with my print, I updated the files to version 6. Version 6 enhancements include: - A recess in the cover to improve coupling and grip with the base - The button arm moved so it doesn't touch the display - Widened opening for the USB connector to ensure it can be plugged in entirely - The base is now 1.5 mm taller to hold 1000mA batteries
