Designing Ice Hockey Skates from Concept to Reality Maya was the perfect tool for creating the initial concept of the ice hockey skates, allowing me to visualize and refine my design with ease. The detailed modeling capabilities of this software enabled me to bring my vision to life, carefully crafting every curve and line of the skate. Next, I turned to Zbrush for its impressive texturing and detailing capabilities. This program allowed me to add a level of realism to my design that would be impossible to achieve by hand. With Zbrush, I was able to create intricate patterns and textures that not only looked realistic but also added depth and character to the skate. Finally, Substance Painter took center stage as I worked on adding colors and coatings to the skates. This powerful tool gave me the flexibility to experiment with different materials and finishes, allowing me to achieve a level of authenticity that would be hard to match in real life. With Substance Painter, I was able to create a finish that looked not only realistic but also had a sense of wear and tear, making the skate look like it had been used on the ice for years.
