v4.2 of this design is influenced by jwest007's Taz Z motor coupler, which replaces the M3 nut hole with a simple hole for an M3 heatset insert. Additionally, support has been added at the entry of the M6 nut hole for improved bridging at the edge. However, the FreeCAD model is not very clean and will be redone from scratch in the future. v4.1 is a modification of Eric's improved Z-axis coupler. The design has been slightly adjusted by reducing the M6 nut hole to 10mm wide and 1mm shorter in height for better compatibility with the intended nut. One M3 hole has been enlarged to accommodate an nylstop nut, and a bridge version is still used, although support may be added soon for the entry of the M6 nut hole. The designer also considered removing the opposite M3 nut hole. This design was developed using FreeCAD, and the provided model is a work in progress. Eric's original coupler is greatly appreciated.
