CB Transceiver Alan (Midland) 8001 - Alternative knobs
thingiverse
This project of knobs for the CB Alan 8001 transceiver was created as a replacement alternative, since there is no longer the possibility of replacing them with new ones. The rubber that covers the buttons usually deteriorates, unfortunately. I made the designs of these buttons based on photos and I didn't have samples to check the measurements. I used ABS filament for 3D printing, with nozzle temperatures around 220ºC and bed around 110ºC. As a fill factor, I used around 50%. It is worth remembering that I am not responsible for the results obtained. I authorize the use and sharing of this material with other amateur radio practitioners or citizen band. I designed an internal system that behaves like a spring, for adjusting the knob to the axis of the double potentiometer. As for the band selector or modulation, after printing, rework the hole with a 6mm drill. I hope this material can be useful.
