Cavern River Tiles OpenLOCK-OpenForge
thingiverse
Continuing my streak of remixes, I've taken Matt Crotts' cavern river tiles and added OpenLOCK bases to them. **UPDATE:** I'm working on thinner 5 mm rivers and will likely release them in October (2017). They'll use a modified 2 mm thin OpenLock tab. I'll figure out if these tabs are too thin to be useful. Caveats: Due to the thickness of the OpenLOCK bases, the river bed currently sits at 7 mm instead of 5 mm. I prefer tiles like this when the river is significantly lower than the surrounding floor sections, so I might revisit this in the future. It would mean that I'd have to use an alternative clip than OpenLOCK on the thin side of the river (perhaps a thin flat tab) and only use OpenLOCK on the sides that are thick. I'm considering future options, but for now it is what it is. Because the river was raised, this also means the "peaks" of the tile are at 13 to 15 mm high. The flatter portions of the floor are 11 to 12 mm on average, so I'd like to lower the profile of the whole tile by 2 mm... but again, that's long term.
