Cavalieri's Principle - Objects with Common Base Area
thingiverse
Cavalieri's Principle asserts that three-dimensional shapes with identical base areas and equal heights will possess equivalent volumes. Four distinct forms - a circular cylinder, an elliptical cylinder, a square prism, and a triangular prism - share the same base area and consistent height. Students can effectively utilize sand (or rice, or water) to confirm that each of these four objects has an identical volume. Experimentation time is now!
