The two cones share identical cross-sectional areas, and therefore identical volumes. These cones provide a hands-on demonstration of Cavalieri's Principle. Math Note: Although the cones have equal cross-sectional areas, their wall thickness differs. This variation is essential for the shells to hold equal volumes. Developed by K. Timme in Fall 2014.
