Caulk Tube Nail Plug

Caulk Tube Nail Plug

I don't do much caulking, but when I do, my old tubes always seem to have clogged nozzles. No matter how hard I try, nothing works - not even small plugs or caps. My only solution is to use long nails that I insert into the nozzle and push down into the tube. The problem is that over time these nails rust, which means I waste a lot of caulk just trying to remove them. That's why I came up with the idea for caulking "nails". They're designed to be shaped like regular nails, but are long enough to reach deep into the tube when inserted through the nozzle. This way, you can easily clean out any blockages without wasting expensive caulk. I think it would also be a good idea to print these nails in the same color as the caulk they're being used with. That way, you'll always know exactly which one is for which project - and you won't have to spend time searching around for the right tool.
