The contoured interior has more space inside and prints faster, with thinner walls, but should be used as a cover/cache pot, because the inside is larger than the opening and planting directly in it will be a real pain when it comes time to repot. You can plant directly in the straight-sided interior (or you can use it as a cover/cache pot too, it just has thicker walls so will increase the print time some).
