Catrina’s Halloween (Izzy Burton's illustration)
sketchfab
Based on an Izzy Burton’s illustration Catrina's independence was fueled by a desire to escape the witch that had taken up residence under her roof. Catrina's mother, determined to rid her home of the unwanted presence, had relocated the intruder to the caravan in the backyard. The rusty vehicle stood its ground, but it wasn't long before water began seeping through cracks and dripping onto the old linoleum floor. Undeterred, Catrina made do with her new living arrangements, embracing the freedom that came with cooking for herself and learning new skills from borrowed library books. As she settled into her new life, friendships blossomed - a curious cat from next door became a regular visitor, as did a flock of crows who seemed to appreciate Catrina's warm and welcoming presence. Weeks passed, and the pumpkins began to sprout, their vibrant orange hue adding a pop of color to the yard. Despite her mother's best efforts to trim them back, the pumpkins continued to grow, thriving in the sunshine. For Catrina, they were a symbol of hope and resilience - proof that even the most unwanted elements could flourish with time and care. -Izzy Burton Modelled in Blender Painted in Affinity Photo
