The parish church is situated on a hill overlooking the city at an elevation of 305 meters above sea level. Visible from afar, this magnificent structure commands attention with its striking brick neo-Gothic design that seamlessly blends into the surrounding landscape reminiscent of industrial-era Třinec architecture. Although it shares similarities with other brick churches in Bohumín, Ostrava-Vítkovice Hrušov, and others nearby, it is notable for drawing inspiration from the area itself rather than conforming to specific styles. Its exterior shape forms a crucifix, while its primary spatial component is a square. This configuration pays homage to traditional design principles rooted in the architectural style of French cathedrals during the Romanesque and early Gothic eras or German churches whose plan often sees one major side twice as long as the other side of the cross. Measuring 49.5 meters in length, 32.5 meters wide, and 14 meters tall, it boasts an impressive capacity to accommodate up to 2,000 individuals comfortably. Interestingly, a sacristy resides between the altar and the southern arm of the church, while a beautifully appointed oratory lies within the northern arm for nobility members.
