The Cathedral Courtyard is a unique temple complex of Veliky Ustyug, located on the site of an ancient detinets on the left bank of the Sukhona River. The architectural ensemble includes the Assumption Cathedral of 1639-1658 with a bell tower, the Cathedral of Procopius the Righteous of 1668, the Cathedral of John of Ustyuzha of the XVII-XIX centuries, the Bishop's House of the XVIII century, as well as several other churches and a number of outbuildings.
