In my Catfish trailer design concept, I've incorporated a mechanical rack and pinion system powered by a motor at the ramp's end to load cars. The vehicle is secured with chocks and straps during loading. To improve performance, optimizing the gears' meshing at the tipping point due to car weight is crucial. In V2, a free-running wheel was added outside the gear to maintain proper meshing (thanks to alexis_sorin and Simonr for suggestions). For V3, I designed the rack as a separate welded piece and moved the wheels forward. Enjoy!
