Recovered during excavations at the historic Catawba site known as New Town, located within Lancaster County, South Carolina. Documented during Historic Period which spanned between 1790 and 1820. Catalog number is 2500p3690. This artifact was discovered in North Carolina Archaeological Collection by Research Laboratories of Archaeology at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The design of this vessel was modeled after Abigail Gancz's concept.
