Catan Wood Tiles - Single Nozzle, Multi-color Layers
thingiverse
Dakanzla is the man with his incredible multicolor printed design. I only have a single nozzle printer, and to be honest, I'm not exactly a skilled painter, but I wanted some artistic flair on my set anyway. The monotone sets out there were just too boring - very creative, but lacking in color. So, I redesigned the tiles to take advantage of the color swapping technique at different levels. Here's Chuck Hellebuyck explaining how to get multi-color 3D printing working in CURA 3 on an Ender 3 (I also use this method with my Prusa). You can find the complete set of tiles here. For some effects, I printed the castle, houses, and wood piles on a separate raft and glued them together. However, I try to let the printer do most of the work, so all the trees are printed right onto the set. I incorporated some elements from Dakanzla's version 1 & 2 into my design.
