This is designed to be used with Catan tile pieces for 2 cylindrical magnets.
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2093075
The newer 3 mm cylindrical magnets I bought were a slightly tighter squeeze. I could no longer push them easily by hand, so I decided to create this object to help me put the magnets in the tile bases. 35mm M3 bolts are used to torque the magnets into place with M3 nuts in slots. A series of magnets can be loaded in through the large slot in the top. The tile is placed in the center and all 4 screws are tightened down. This also helps make sure you get the polarity right in all cases. A sacrificial magnet can be glued (use strong glue or epoxy) to the end of each bolt to make sure you always get them loaded the same way. I've included the blend file I used to make it for anyone that is interested in modifications.

Remember, the magnets on each side should have opposite polarity!

Print instructions

Licence: Creative Commons - Attribution Category: Games
