Catan Desert Tile - Single Nozzle, Multi-color Layers
thingiverse
Dakanzla is the mastermind behind his vibrant multicolor printed design. However, I'm limited to a single nozzle printer and cannot paint at all, but I still wanted to add some artistic flair to my set. The monotone sets available just didn't cut it for me - they were very creative, but lacked color. So, I tweaked the tile design to take advantage of the color swapping technique at different levels. Here's Chuck Hellebuyck explaining how to achieve multi-color 3D printing in CURA 3 on an Ender 3 (I also use this method with my Prusa). For some effects, I've printed additional pieces and glued them together. However, I always try to let the printer do most of the work. The desert scene was created by modifying a water tile and combining it with a dead cattle skull design.
