CAT40 holder stand
thingiverse
This holds a CAT40 tool holder steady on your toolbox. I use it for my edge finder build. It is very low profile and allows you to get your hand around the tool body easily. Another CAT40 stand I printed didn't allow me to grab the tool easily/ confidently. That is bad news when your hands are all gross and slimy from coolant and oil. This holder also slightly angles the tool upward, which gives me a little more usable space on my toolbox top. Update: I added some legs on the front to address the weight of a tool. I had a 1.0" diameter carbide endmill tip the original design forward. The extended holder eliminates this.
