I got a 3D STL of Cat with Jet Pack originally designed by MakerBlock right from SCAD, leaving all credit to the brilliant maker behind it. After importing the file into my software, I discovered that rotating it has turned the model upside down, revealing some surprising advantages - according to Repetier's data, it's now estimated to print faster and use significantly less filament with full supports enabled in this orientation. One thing I haven't had a chance to test yet is actual printing success, so you're welcome to try and see how it turns out for yourself!
