I designed this cat tree pillar support because the original pillar nut and surrounding material had broken down after extensive use. My two cats, notorious for their destructive behavior, have been abusing it daily for over a year now, but it still holds strong thanks to its clever design. Although it does wobble slightly, this feature actually helps absorb the impact of my cats' energetic playtime, ultimately extending the life of the tree. To give you a better idea of how well this support will fit your tree, I've included a sample STL file that you can use as a guide or calculate the necessary scaling to ensure a perfect fit. The dimensions are roughly: * Pillar hole diameter: 92 mm * Screw head hole diameter: 9 mm * Smaller hole for screw thread diameter: 5 mm * Height of the 5mm hole: 10 mm (use this measurement to estimate the ideal length for your screws) If you decide to print this support, I recommend using a moderate infill percentage of around 40% and PLA material. For added security, I've included two horizontal screws in the design, but if you're able to achieve a tight fit between the pillar and the support, gravity will take care of keeping it in place. When installing the wood screws, make sure they go deep enough into the base without protruding below. Please note that this is an experimental design, and I'm not liable for any property damage or accidents that may occur during use. Every printer and printing setup is unique, so be prepared for potential variations in quality if you print with low infill or poor layer adhesion.
