Cat Training Device - Keep Cat off Furniture

Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, cats can be trained - sometimes with great difficulty. Remember when you were a kid and your mom or dad told you, "Don't let me catch you doing that!" My cat seems to have taken that lesson to heart. I haven't been able to catch him on the kitchen table in ages, but I know he's still sneaking up there... This clever device uses a short length of bungee cord to create a spring-loaded system. A light touch triggers it to jump up into the air, making a noise that hopefully startles the cat and sends him packing. Credit goes to whoever invented the Jumpo cat trainer - I took their idea and created my own version using a Chinese Blueprint (reverse-engineered). Version 1 works like a charm as long as the bungee knot is at the top. It requires no supports, but Version 2 needs some support touching the build plate. The only difference between the two is the position of the bungee anchor. Print out two copies of the file and join them with a short length of small bungee cord material - just be careful not to use one with hooks! They could hurt your cat. Use a length that's almost stretched to its limit when you set it up. This is still a work in progress, since I'm not sure what my cat will think of it yet...
