Cat tower replacement part

I have a larger cat that delights in being aggressive on top of our cat tower. As expected, he broke off the upper piece. I designed this using Tinkercad, and it fit snugly into the cardboard barrel, with the nut forced down into the hole to secure it in place. This helps keep the nut firmly wedged, making it easier to screw back into position. Although it didn't provide adequate support for the freestanding piece, I replaced it with another one that has been holding strong for almost five months now. To add extra stability, I used hot glue to hold everything together.
