I spent several weeks on this personal project when I wasn't juggling other grad school responsibilities. The experience was a wild ride for me, and staying true to the original reference by Mike Yamada was a real challenge. At first glance, the shapes seemed straightforward, but boy was I mistaken. In the end, I learned a lot from the process. Most of the modeling work was done in Maya, with some added paneling and small details created in Zbrush. There's one exception - using Zbrush 4R8's live boolean features allowed me to model the base body shape. If you're curious about my workflow, feel free to send a DM or check out my blog post.
