Construct CAT Standard 12VDC plugs using 5mm x 20mm copper blades, bent into right angles and soldered with wires. The cross blade is "+" while the in-line blade is "-". Assemble using a small bolt or screw and rivet if necessary. These connectors follow the pin placement of AT automotive fuses with the "+" pin rotated. The 12VDC voltage is nominal for solar, RV, and boat wiring applications. Note that Pico .205" x .025" female crimp sockets are used for AT size sockets; using metal thicker than .025" may cause the receptacle sockets to bend and result in a loose fit. If necessary, pound thicker metal thinner with a hammer to achieve proper thickness. Consider making sockets more forgiving for better fit.
