This is a fun night lamp that brings smiles to your children's bedroom :)\r\n\r\nIt perfectly fits into standard 200x200mm print-bed dimensions.\r\n\r\nPrint the frame "d_frame.stl" in black color, and the "d_back.stl" in white color.\r\n\r\nPrint different face pieces in various colors of your choice. Semi-transparent SBS plastics work well for this application. Even colored PLA is translucent enough in a thin slab (about 1mm).\r\n\r\nAdjusting to your specific plastic and LED placement, you may need to scale some details over the Z-axis when slicing. Achieving good light quality from each part requires some trial and error. So, my approach was to print all details with the same small thickness (1-2mm), then glue them to the frame. Next, place the LED-part at the designated spot (see below) and inspect how nice different parts look together. For those parts that are too bright, I printed separate pieces from the same or white plastic and glued them inside.\r\n\r\nTake a close look at the "details.png" picture to identify different detail names.\r\n\r\nElectrical part:\r\nSeveral bright diodes are needed for this project. I used four BL-FL760RUWC LEDs (https://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/282954/BETLUX/BL-FL760RUWC.html). In the "d_led_frame.stl" detail, drill small holes for diode legs and insert diodes into them. The "d_led_frame.stl" has a cross-like shape, so I placed two of my diodes at the ends of vertical beams and the second pair in cat's eye positions. These locations are marked with tiny squared holes on the detail. Next, connect all diodes in parallel and solder power wires together. I used 5V power supply from an old mobile phone.\r\n\r\nBefore gluing "d_led_frame.stl" to "d_frame.stl" at the top edge, perform several brightness tests (see above). The detail should provide enough friction to be placed without gluing for testing purposes.\r\n\r\nAfter attaching the led frame to the main frame, place the white "d_back.stl" panel on top. It stays in place due to friction alone.
