In our sixth 3D scanning experiment with MakerBot Digitizer, we showcase an affordable and desktop-sized tool that works seamlessly with MakerBot's 3D printers. We chose a matte-textured feline for scanning, as its surface is ideal, while glossy ones may overexpose the camera's light sensor. The Digitizer can scan objects up to an 8" by 8" cylinder size.
