I built a DIY laser pointer using a common 650nm 5V laser diode with copper head and a tactile button. I utilized the excellent 3AAA flexible case from enif along with the necessary cabling. I opted for a 6x6 tactile switch, also featuring a high tip of 9mm. To ensure maximum functionality, I used both contacts on the tactile switch in parallel. To design a cap that protects the button from accidental presses, I had to think creatively. I finally came up with a simple top cover. Please note that the design in the FreeCAD file is not intended to be taken as an example.
