Microgreens are fun and easy to grow and add a nice touch as a garnish to all kinds of dishes.

This three-piece kit includes a reservoir tray that holds water, a growing tray with holes for drainage, and a germination lid to help seeds germinate faster and more evenly.

Print in all one color or in different colors, and grow everything from Wheat[grass] for your cat to brussels sprouts for yourself.

I usually print the reservoir in one color, the growing tray in transparent (it's cool to see all the roots) and the lid in an opaque color (usually black). I also use PETG.

Instructions on Growing

Rinse and Soak microgreen seeds according to instructions. Use bottled or filtered water for best results*.

Fill the reservoir tray about halfway full of water.

Fill the growing tray about ¾ full of soil (I usually use a Coco Coir).

Evenly sprinkle approximately 15g of microgreen seeds evenly over the soil in a thin layer.

Cover with the germination lid for two to three days, until the growth starts to push up the lid.

Remove the lid and place it upside down under the reservoir tray (see images).

Revel in the amazingly fast growth of microgreens!

Notes
You may see what looks like mold when you first remove the lid. These are most likely root hairs which will go away once the greens get established. However, if it smells musty or the shoots are slimy, you may have mold. Reduce the chances of this by not using too much water, and not leaving the lid on for more than a couple days without checking it. Google and YouTube have TONS of great resources on growing microgreens.

The final version of the planting tray extends above the edges of the reservoir tray slightly (~3mm). This makes it easier to lift out of the reservoir tray to refill with water. The germination lid will still cover it completely, even though the planting tray sticks up slightly. This is by design.

*Tap water generally has some amount of chlorine and chloramine in it. While this is safe for humans to consume, plants are not big fans, and generally do much better with bottled or filtered water. Your mileage may vary.

Good luck, and have fun! :)
