Cat Hammock

Cat Hammock

thingiverse

First post on Thingiverse! I built this cat hammock after being dared by a video I saw online. The model here is for the two PVC connectors that hold everything together. It's still a work in progress, but my cat may or may not be using it as a proper hammock. BOM: * 2x Cat hammock STL files included here * 6x PVC pipe (1/2") - cut to size * 4x PVC 45 degree connectors * Rope (as needed) * Hammock bed material (I used one that came with a cat tower) Cost: $10-20 PRINT: I'm still optimizing my printer, so use whatever settings work best for you. ASSEMBLY: It's pretty straightforward. Cut the PVC to size - however big you want your hammock to be. I found it easiest to assemble the connectors into two halves first. Use the 45 degree connectors on the base. Tie the rope around the 3D printed connectors with any knot you prefer, and link that up to the actual hammock bed. For extra stability, I used a couple of mini bungies to keep it from swaying. My cat tried using this as a bed once, but she likes it better as a hiding spot when she's pretending to hunt. Good luck, and let me know how it works out! Feedback is welcome.
