Printing

Print cover with 0 top and bottom layers, about 15% infill, and honeycomb pattern

Print base watertight (multiple walls, increased extrusion multiplier, more top and bottom layers, higher infill so the printer has an easier time closing top layers)

If your print ends up not being watertight, you can coat the inside of the bottom part with wax, or use a fixative spray)

You can also refer to this Prusa blog post for more ideas on how to make prints watertight:
https://blog.prusaprinters.org/watertight-3d-printing-pt1-vases-cups-and-other-open-models_48949/

Print feet using flexible filament

Assembly

Attach feet to base, insert pot into base, put soil in base, add cat grass seeds, push cover over base until it clicks into place. See rendered image for how the three main parts go together. Water regularly.

Editing the OpenSCAD file

Use the OpenSCAD file to create different sizes. Edit the following variables to create custom sizes:

width: size of the base of the planter in mm; it's square, so this is the width and depth

base_height: height of the base in mm

height: height of the inner element in mm

tolerance: your printer's tolerance. The larger you set this, the larger the gaps between the parts, and the easier they are to assemble

width_offset: the offset between the width of the base, and the width of the inner parts
