I got fed up with gazing at a box of cat food cans cluttering my countertop, so I set out to create a solution that would hold a full box, twelve cans in total, and be mounted securely on the wall. The design mounts vertically, taking advantage of the space available. To ensure stability, I included countersunk mounting holes for screws, but I must advise against using just one screw - even with an empty box, the whole unit is surprisingly heavy. If possible, mount it to a stud for added security. The cans fit snugly within the container, leaving just enough space for smooth sliding up and down.
