This product is an over-the-top answer to a problem that doesn't exist in most households. A recent article mentioned that cats need to interact with their food to feel satisfied, and I thought, "I've got just the thing." To make this toy work, pour the cat's food into the top funnel. The food will spread out across the puzzle level, allowing your cat to see it and play with it but preventing them from getting it out unless they push the food through the holes in the central tube. Once the food falls, it can land on the plate or move down to the next lower level if one is present. This design requires a lot of plastic and time to print, so be sure to test your settings with Screw_Test.stl before you start printing. If the screws don't work properly, there's no point in continuing with the other pieces. To assemble the toy, print one plate, one lid, and as many puzzle parts as you like (but not too many, or it might fall over). The pieces fit together using screw joints, although a little glue can't hurt. Supports are only needed on the small rims that touch the ground and in the windows, so set your supports to 80 degrees if you're using Cura. Some people worry that printed PLA isn't safe for cats to eat off of. If this is a concern for you, look for food-safe PLA or avoid this project altogether. You are responsible for your cat's safety when using this toy. Make sure their head can't fit through the windows and sand any sharp edges. Be prepared for breakage, and don't blame me if anything goes wrong with your pet. If you're not willing to take full responsibility, don't use this model.
