This project revolves around a feeder design by Kitlaan that showcases the creator's lack of woodworking skills. To overcome this limitation, they designed a frame that anyone can print alongside the auger design. The back of the box has a slot for an Arduino Pro Mini, and it's recommended to cut the PVC 'T' connection to 97mm and put the auger into the short end. The food-storage hopper is a Cupcake Pen (previously sold as a Pancake Pen) with threads matched using Aubenc's Poor Man's Openscad Screw Library. The design also includes 'LE-DOME' files for 5mm LED caps, which serve as diffusers when printed in clear PLA. The green LED is always on when the feeder is plugged in, while the red LED fades according to the time until the next feed. To enhance stability, a magnet bowl is added to the design, keeping the bowl attached but removable for cleaning. To complete the project, print the attached STL files (excluding side duplicates), obtain a Pancake/Cupcake pen, four 1/2" diameter x 1/8" thick disk magnets, Kitlaan's feeder derived from his design, a momentary button switch, and two LEDs. Assemble the project using 2-56 screws, passing through reamed holes in the top and bottom pieces for easy self-tapping into sides, front, back, and plates.
