Opening size is roughly 6.90x6.820 inches. Has a slightly thicker portion on the top for easy orientation. Also will work as a point to mount a hinged door. The inner flange that sticks in the wall has beveled corners so the fit doesn't have to be 100% exact making mounting easier. Also has a flat portion on the front to hide any overcut lines.
