I am spinning your input. We've got these glass cat dishes that came with a clunky base, but the real problem is one of our cats isn't a fan of eating out of a wobbly dish. To fix this issue, I designed some stabilizers for them myself. The inner ring of each dish measures 39 mm - you can check out the sketchup file if you'd like to modify the basic design.
