I actually had a wooden version of this at one point too, and I vividly recall struggling with getting the cams glued into position while working on an already assembled piece. So, I upgraded my original design by swapping out the center rod for a square-shaped rod, and converted all circular holes to squares. This modification ensured that the cams stayed in place securely and simplified the assembly process altogether – no glue required! However, you might need to smooth down the square rod slightly. Keep in mind that you'll still need to have the original files handy, as I only modified the components necessary for accommodating the square rod. Additionally, I included a longer post to enhance the tail's movement and make it twitch a bit higher.
