You are in the Juncal sector, 41 kilometers from the city of Los Andes. It is the only one preserved in the country, of the eight huts that were built on both sides of the Cordillera since the mid-18th century by Ambrosio O'higgins to accommodate couriers and travelers who made the crossing from Los Andes to Mendoza during the winter months.
