I commissioned an exceptional artist to create this 3D image for me since I'm unable to produce organic images myself. His name is Roman Kupalov and it was initially posted on Thingiverse. You can find any applicable copyrights by visiting Thingiverse. Roman Kupalov created this model at the request of a kind individual, Ryan D Hoke. Here's what he said: This character serves as a mascot for a rare disease research group called the Castleman Disease Collaborative Network. He is a warrior who wears knight armor and has a helmet in the shape of a castle wall tower, symbolizing his strength and courage to fight against Castleman's Disease. Castleman's Disease is a rare and deadly illness caused by the body's immune system attacking its own organs. It's more lethal than all cancers combined and as common as ALS (remember the ice bucket challenges). The Castleman Warrior serves as a reminder to patients and their loved ones of the importance of being strong and fighting for a cure. To learn more about this disease and help find a cure, please visit CDCN.org and check out Castleman Warriors to see some of the warriors helping to raise awareness. I spent several nights working on this model, so take a few minutes to visit the above websites. Thank you! As usual, print it, share it, and enjoy it! You may ask why the knight doesn't have a sword; you can find many swords available on Thingiverse, simply adjust their size to fit the knight's hand. Update 2017-06-11: The model in pose has been fixed, please re-download. Update 2017-06-12: I found an issue with the shield handle - it's too big and almost impossible to put inside the hole. Please scale down the handle a little (from 100% to 96-94%) while I fix the model when I have time. Update 2017-06-13: The shield handle size/tolerance has been fixed. Print Settings Supports: Yes Notes: This model should be printed with supports. I created another, sliced version for easier printing, but it may need supports in some places anyway. Choose what you like more, but I recommend printing the usual version by default. Print the included tolerance test at first to ensure details fit properly. Use a drop of glue to fix the shield handle, which is necessary.
