Castle Tower Can Cozy

Castle Tower Can Cozy

I designed a cozy for a tall energy drink can that will fit inside with a height of 125mm (vertical). I haven't printed it yet, but I measured the inner diameter to be 68mm, close to the actual can's 66.6mm diameter, so I'm confident it will work. To print this design, you'll need to scale it up by 10 times, as my program shrunk the part down when converting it to STL format. Note that this is a work in progress - once I try printing it, I'll make adjustments to get a fully functional can cozy. Here's how I designed it: I used AutoDesk Inventor to create the design. First, I drew concentric circles for the body and extruded them up 70% of the desired height. Then, I created two more concentric circles and extruded them the remaining 30%. The horizontal markings are revolved cuts with a diameter of 2mm. The vertical cuts were made using 2mm circles in a circle pattern eight times, with an extrude-cut of 20mm up to the outermost circle. To create a chamfer on the bottom and at the 70% meeting point, I used the chamfer tool. Under the chamfer at the 70% meeting point, I added support for the upper section by drawing a 10mm diameter circle and a straight line up to the upper part. This feature was then revolved in two directions, 5.125 degrees each way, and placed in a circle pattern around the central axis.
