Castle of Sleeping beauty Disneyland Paris

I am extremely passionate about castles and Disney, so I embarked on the ambitious project of creating a scale model of the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Paris. The first major challenge in modeling the castle was finding detailed enough plans, as numerous photos taken at the palace were not sufficient to accurately reconstruct the complex structure. After conducting extensive research, I stumbled upon Robert Nava's extraordinary paper model on his website https://www.disneyexperience.com/models/dlpcastle_model.php. I subsequently reused these plans to create a comprehensive 3D model of the castle, enriching it with architectural details that were captured in photos taken on-site and cannot be replicated in paper. It took hundreds of hours to complete the modeling process, which was carried out using Fusion 360. With my Prusa MK2S printer equipped with a multi-material option for four-color printing, I designed the model to print directly in the desired colors, minimizing or eliminating the need for painting. The colors used are those that closely match the original, including rose, white, glittering blue, gold, red, green, light and dark brown, gray light and dark. The manual provided with the files is based on Robert Nava's paper model instructions, but it doesn't apply perfectly due to differences in design. However, it will still be helpful for assembly as I maintained the same letter references in my model. Assembly is quite delicate due to the interlocking parts, and you may need to use a cutter or file occasionally to adjust them. There is no play between the different pieces in the model. In conclusion, this is an extremely large project, but the end result makes all the hours spent worthwhile, as evident from the photos, even though the model is not yet complete. Note that I reused Robert Nava's drawings for finishing the doors and windows, which were printed on transparent sheets to allow for lighting up the castle. Good luck to those who will embark on this adventure; I will respond as best as possible to any questions or difficulties you may encounter. Please don't hesitate to share your comments. Please be aware that the .zip file is 124 MB in size. It is, of course, strictly forbidden to resell the files or prints from this project under any form, as the original plans are free and Disney vigilantly guards its copyright !! However, you can freely share it without modifying it. I would like to thank Robert Nava again for his exceptional model-making work, which made this project possible. The model consists of nearly 700 files that may be difficult to handle. The files are organized into folders, with each folder representing a printable part in a single volume of minimal size (250 x 210 x 200 mm). It's up to each individual to test and make the necessary cuts for their own printer. Some parts will require supports, but I tried to minimize them. It is, of course, possible to create this model with a single-color printer; you'll just need to reassemble the files to get STLs that are printable in monoextrusion. I use SLIC3R Prusa edition slicer for multi-extrusion and it allows me to reassemble in monoextrusion. Do you like it? Help me with tips !!
