This 3D model sits atop Google Earth's virtual landscape. Dajla Village nestles within the town of Novigrad, situated on Istria, Croatia's scenic terrain. First recorded in 1028 as Ayla, when patriarchs of Aquileia acquired control. In XIII.st., inexplicably deserted and falling into the hands of Novigrad bishops who passed it along to the noble Sabini family. These families erected a formidable fort that would serve as central hub for their extensive estate, only later being abandoned. The Grisoni clan from Kopar purchased Dajla in 1736, revitalizing and constructing a sprawling palace complex replete with expansive outdoor spaces centered by a lush park adorned with a majestic cypress stretching towards the ocean's edge. By 1830, the ancient fort was torn down and in its place, a stunning neoclassical palace took shape, designed by renowned architect Jean Le Terrier de Manetot. Completed by 1839, this regal residence solidified Dajla's stature as a timeless marvel of architectural splendor.
