Casting Corner Frames

Casting Corner Frames

thingiverse

Here are Corner Frames with dimensions tailored to standard 2x3, 2x4, and 2x6 lumber configurations. The side holes accommodate 1/4 inch bolts. I've added spaces in the vertical shafts of each corner frame for 1/4 inch square nuts purchased from Lowe's. These will be placed when the print pauses, then restart the print and seal them in place. This allows for stacking/bolting Cope and Drag together in casting. I utilized PRUSA's 3D Color Print app to set stop positions/color change stops. The measurements for these stops can be determined in Slicer prior to sending G-code to 3D color app. I've already completed the 2x3s, so these stop positions are at 12.35 mm and 56.75mm; you'll need to figure out the others, but I'll update this post when I do them in the future. Additionally, I've included STEP and Parasolid files from my Onshape account for those who wish to customize further. Enjoy!
