Casted Silicone Rubber Dampeners - DIY KIT
thingiverse
Make your own 7mm & 3mm Copter dampeners using these silicone casting forms! They'll fit perfectly on the frame of the MHQ2 Quadcopter for example. To start, you need to mix a silicone rubber slushie called "sugru" - just Google it! You'll need about 3/4 construction silicone and 1/4 corn starch or wheat flour. Next, spread it out into the forms and smooth it out with a spatula. Try to get rid of as many air bubbles as possible from the forms. Press them together and screw in the four centering holes... then let them dry for about six hours or more. Once they're done, remove them and have fun! On the 7mm ones, you'll need to add four 3mm threaded rod inserts before putting the halves together. If there's enough interest, I might just make a video out of it!
