Bronze replica of a human skull, crafted to perfection. Iron fills the pupils of the eyes, giving them an unmistakable sense of life. Adorned with a intricately designed headdress featuring 4 prominent rosettes, this bronze sculpture showcases exceptional craftsmanship. A choker, symbolizing rank, is depicted in bronze, but would have been fashioned from coral in reality, along with the bands on either side of the ears. The base of this stunning piece is adorned with oxen heads and various animals, as well as celtic designs. Discovered in Ego, Nigeria, this artifact has traveled to the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in Cambridge, England, where it was meticulously scanned.
