Cast Iron Cauldron

The historic cauldron, once a cooking vessel on board the British supply ship "Industry", was salvaged from its wreckage, which occurred in 1764 after a catastrophic event at sea. The ship, loaded with arms, ammunition, equipment and provisions for the newly established British garrison in St. Augustine, had been involved in a major transition when Florida changed hands from Spanish to British control that year.
