Cassette Tape Splicing Block

Cassette Tape Splicing Block

thingiverse

Splicing blocks are invaluable tools for rescuing damaged cassette tapes by effectively removing ruined sections of tape. Although a few types can still be obtained new, they often lack essential features like clamps that securely hold the ends and a splicing tape dropper to precisely position the tape. This project utilizes 2 springs from wooden clothesline pegs to provide firm clamp pressure and one M3 x 20 screw with a matching nylock nut. A small piece of thick felt or polar fleece will be necessary to cushion the clamps, ensuring precise positioning and minimizing damage to the tape.
