Here you can find a sound sample I made with this tape piano: https://youtu.be/5eRE0ybvICI This 3D print build is based on the Cassettone Mk1 project by Rich Bernett/The Sound of Machines, please see the instructions there for a detailed wiring description: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1GdNkX1ewU Every object labeled *Solid* has to be printed with a solid filament like PLA which builds the inner core of the tape piano, everything else is printed in TPU for looks and feel. Throughout the whole build 3mm screws and nuts are used. Here you can find an animation of how this build comes together: https://youtu.be/Qc3BhWPlBZQ The cassette player used is a ByronStatics portable cassette player: https://www.amazon.com/Byron-Statics-Recorders-Lightweight-Batteries/dp/B07JDMB34T?th=1 The buttons underneath the TPU keys are: https://amzn.eu/d/4NpeiQU The potentiometers are just standard 6mm Alpha pots. For the power supply I used a simple 7805 voltage regulator circuit to get 5V DC out of an external 9V power adapter. The voltage regulator circuit is internally connected to a stripped USB cable that connects to the cassette player and powers it. Please note that I was using an old speaker and small microfon I had laying around from other projects. If you want to use an internal speaker and/or microfon you will have to adapt the holders for them.
